SpiralLinux is a Linux spin based on the Debian distribution, with a focus on polish and out-of-the-box usability on the desktop. SpiralLinux serves as an alternative live installation method for customizing a Debian system while using only official Debian package repositories.
Many Debian-based distributions have arisen with the objective of adding a layer of polish on top of a highly reliable and flexible operating system which might not be friendly for the end-user. Although, most of those distributions depend on custom packages and supplemental package repositories that will cease to exist if the developer(s) stop working on those projects.
SpiralLinux has been designed to be completely dependent on the package infrastructure of the upstream Debian project. In other word, SpiralLinux has polished default configuration for all the major desktop environments using the packages and mechanisms that Debian itself provides. Once installed, it will produce an actual and legitimate Debian installation that can be infinitely upgraded from the official Debian repositories while retaining its unique SpiralLinux configuration.
New Feature: Hybrid Torrents
Hybrid torrents support the BitTorrent V1 and V2 protocol. Its support is not well spread out yet so we recommend that you still use v1 (aka the "torrent" column).
