Emmabuntüs is a Linux distribution derived from Debian and designed to facilitate the restoration of computers donated to humanitarian organizations like the Emmaüs Communities.
This distribution was designed to facilitate the reconditioning of computers donated to humanitarian associations. It also extends the life of the equipment to limit the waste caused by the overconsumption of raw materials. Emmabuntüs is being used by many associations in France and Africa.
In 2012, Emmabuntüs was chosen as the preferred distribution for Jerry - Do It Together [] an open source computer assembled in a plastic drum with recycled computer components. It gives new life to computer components that would otherwise end up in the trash.
New Feature: Hybrid Torrents
Hybrid torrents support the BitTorrent V1 and V2 protocol. Its support is not well spread out yet so we recommend that you still use v1 (aka the "torrent" column).
