Manjaro is an open source operating system based on Arch Linux. It focuses on user friendliness and accessibility and the system itself is designed to work fully straight out of the box with its variety of pre-installed software.
What makes Manjaro Special
Manjaro is based on the Arch operating system which is aimed to more experienced and technical users. Latest software might come with some problems such as incompatibilities to existing software or bugs.
In order to prevent problems, Manjaro adds additional layers of testing to the Arch repositories. New/Updated packages will only be released for users who want a stable system, when no more problems are found.

Manjaro comes preconfigured with default settings that should be helpfull for most user. But like most Linux distributions, they can be configure, change, remove or replace for the user's liking.
There are no hidden downloads or automatic restarts, Manjaro will just show a notification when an update is available and wait for the user to be ready to update its system.
