In Aurora, updates are automatic. Upgrade the system in one-click, including all the apps. It also features a lightly customized KDE Plasma 6 desktop experience.
A developer edition comes with preinstalled Brew and Visual Studio Code, already preconfigured to support workflows involving DevContainers. A single command, you can grab Jetbrains Toolbox if you like coffee more. Docker and Podman also come preconfigured to suit every type of workflow, including a containerized CLI experience. Distrobox is only one click away with Ptyxis.
The difference between Vanilla Kinoite and Aurora: Vanilla Kinoite is a very stock experience while Aurora includes many enhancements and tweaks, like included drivers for various printers, network adapters, game controllers and more as well as included codecs.
New Feature: Hybrid Torrents
Hybrid torrents support the BitTorrent V1 and V2 protocol. Its support is not well spread out yet so we recommend that you still use v1 (aka the "torrent" column).
