ViperOS is a Vim-inspired, Python-powered, and keyboard-centric GNU/Linux distribution built for scientists, programmers, and creators.
This project emerged from a labour of love by its developer, whom, over 20+ years, came to amassed a collection of scripts and tweaks designed to streamline it's workflow. As the time went by, friends and colleagues started to ask "What OS was that", then the idea of creating a new distribution began to take shape.
The first prototype was based of Fedora, then from Arch Linux, but in the end Debian has been chosen to be the base foundation of this new GNU/Linux distribution.
Even though this distribution is aim to be a daily driver, it isn't for everyone (due to its Vim-inspired look and feel).
New Feature: Hybrid Torrents
Hybrid torrents support the BitTorrent V1 and V2 protocol. Its support is not well spread out yet so we recommend that you still use v1 (aka the "torrent" column).
