Void Linux is an independently rolling Linux distribution that uses the X Binary Package System (XBPS) package manager, which was designed and implemented from scratch, and the uses runit as its init system.
Compare to the majority of distribution families, Void Linux uses the runit init system instead of systemd. It is the first distribution to incorporate by default LibreSSL as the system cryptography library. It also distinguish from others as offering separate repositories and installation media for the glibc and musl libraries.
