Endless Sky is a 2D space trading and combat game similar to the classic Escape Velocity series.

Explore other star systems, earn money by trading, carrying passengers, or completing missions. Use earnings to buy better ships or to upgrade the weapons and engines on the current one. Blow up pirates, take sides in a civil war, or leave human space behind and hope to find friendly aliens whose culture is more civilized than your own.

Creating a new Pilot

New pilots start out with a large mortgage to pay off, with an exorbitant interest rate. A savvy merchant pilot can earn enough income to pay off the mortgage quickly, but you will always be tempted to take on more debt.

View Ship Info

The ship info screen allows you to view all your ship's attributes in one place. If you are landed on a planet, you can also reorganize which weapons are mounted on which hardpoints.

The Shipyard

In the shipyard, you can sell your existing ship or buy a new one. If you have multiple ships, the first one in the list will be used as your flagship. There is no limit on how many ships you can own.

Ships near Earth

At the turn of the 31st century, the ancient home world of the human species is an overpopulated and polluted tourist trap.

Fighting Pirates

Large ships usually do not have much to fear from smaller ones, but if enough small ships work together they can bring down a much stronger target.

The Outfitter

Here, you can purchase various outfits for your ship. Each ship has a limit on the total outfit tonnage, as well as smaller limits on the amount of weapons and engines.

The Job Board

As you increase your cargo and passenger capacity and your combat rating, more lucrative jobs become available.

A Large Battle

A battle between two human factions. Large battles can be chaotic, but a skilled player's contributions can be enough to turn the tide.

Boarding and Enemy Ship

If you succeed in disabling an enemy ship, you can board it to steal its cargo or outfits or to attempt to capture it. But be careful - your crew members can die while attempting to capture another ship, leaving you with too few people to pilot your own ship.

Hailing other Ships

You can hail another ship to ask for assistance if you are disabled or out of fuel, or to offer them a bribe to leave you alone if they are attacking you.

Special Missions

Some special missions are offered in the Spaceport, or appear when you first land on a planet. When in a conversation, your choice of what to say can affect the outcome of the mission.

The Trading Panel

Ten different commodities are for sale on every inhabited planet. Prices depend on what the local economy produces, and can vary randomly from day to day.
