LibreOffice is a free and open-source office suite. It uses the international standard OpenDocument file format (ODF) as it's native format to save documents. It also supports the file formats of most other major office suites (including Microsoft Office).
The latest "fresh" version of LibreOffice is recommended for technology enthusiasts while the mature "still" version of LibreOffice is recommended for enterprises.

Another great feature is the possibility to toggle to the Dark Mode for those you prefer a dark interface, want to save electricity, or help their eyes by reducing the number of lumen they absorb.
